Owner, Charlie Barron is a graduate of UGA's Terry College of Business. He purchased the business from his father, who also is a UGA graduate, in the early 80's. Barron's has been serving Athens, Watkinsville, and the surrounding area for over 45 years.
Priding ourselves on "covering it all", Barron's has whatever you need for your event or job that you are doing. We rent everything from champagne glasses to ditch diggers.
Why rent from us?
We are the original "green" industry. Reuse is our backbone.
We care about Athens. Local business helps us all!
We work with contractors and caterers-- we know the folks and the area!
We care- we repair and launder right on site. We will get it right for you.
We maintain and store-- you don't have to.
What can you rent?
Well-- what do you want?
linens, tents, tables, chairs, back hoes, ditch diggers, lifts, scaffolding, glassward, table ware, floor refinishing equipment, carpet cleaners, tile saws, dunking booths, carnival games. You name it-- we rent it!
Do we deliver--
Of course we do and if you rent a tent or a stage-- the delivery and set up is free.
Do we support the greek system at UGA-- yes, we love to help you with your parties and event
How about the alumni association, the athletic association, the law school? Sure we want to help you all accomplish your event planning and be successful.
Are we community minded?
Of course we are-- we love our community. We are members of several professional organizations like:
Athens Wedding Professionals, American Rental Association, The Athens Chamber of Commerce and the Oconee Chamber of Commerce.
Charlie is a member of the Roatary Club, is on the Board for Mercy Health and Habitat for Humanity.
Leslie and Charlie are on the Committee for Young life and attend Athens First Methodist Church and Leslie is a sustainer of the Junior League of Athens and serves on the Salvation Army Womens Auxillary.
